This season, Mr. Romero makes his role and company debut as Faust in Mefistofeles by Boito with Semperoper Dresden, returns to the role of Alfredo in La Traviata in his debut with Theater Basel and Opera Western Reserve, makes his role and company debut as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with the Dorset Opera Festival, sings his first performances of Cavaradossi in Tosca in a co-production with Opéra de Limoges and Opéra de Vichy, makes his Deutsche Oper Berlin debut as Ismaele in Nabucco, sings further performances of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in his debut with New National Theater Tokyo, returns to Staatsoper Hannover for staged performances of Verdi’s Requiem, joins acclaimed soprano Eric Nakamura in concert with Latvian National Opera, as well as recitals in Spain and Atlanta.
